I was thinking of a scene with Chloe being arrested. While at the police station there is an attack (a la Terminator)and it looks like she is dead. Only pretending of course. Now how would she get arrested? She was about to be mugged and she beat the holy hell out of her mugger.

that will not be finished. I had this idea for something horrible. At least the feeling from it seems horrible. I picture this guy in my head. He is middle-aged with shoulder length gray hair. He lifts his head up real quick and as the hair falls away from his face, we see that he has no eyes. The sockets are empty. His face is gaunt and ashen, and he's smiling. He starts laughing but we don't hear it, instead there is a soundtrack playing. Some kind of country pop thing from the seventies.

So I had this scene written out a couple of years ago that involved a character from Expired Product (a story that went through many revisions and was abandoned, then picked up again, completely changed, then abandoned again, nowhere near finished).Well I have taken the scene from ...Product and swapped out the character, and put in Chloe. She now fights for her life in a catholic confessional.

I am considering jumping ship on The Deputy and trying to flesh out some other short story. Something from Lourdes? Maybe I should introduce Lenore, Vermont and their train station. I'm not giving up on The Deputy, nowhere near, but I have drawn another blank. If I were any other author I'm sure that the damn thing would be finished by now. It's been a year and all that I have to show for it is just over a page a month.

So I have been checking out mythologies of other authors. The Author's Universe. Stephen King has his, as well as Tolkien, CS Lewis, and Lovecraft. I like this idea, and it seems to be the direction that my mythos is heading in. My "Author's Universe".
